About 4 Cheeky monkeys
We started 4 Cheeky Monkeys because we noticed a lack of supportive, accessible amenities for families in the Sale area. Renovating the building was a huge project, as it had been derelict for over 18 years.
4 Cheeky Monkeys is an independent Community Interest Company, and we operate solely on fundraising, grants, donations, and the income we generate. Any profit we make is reinvested into the building and equipment. We are not subsidised by a church or supported by any large organisation.
Introductions
Hi, I’m Jeneane. I co-founded 4 Cheeky Monkeys with my mum, Lesley.
Lesley is our Centre Manager and is the friendly face you’ll see when you visit us. I work mainly behind the scenes, responding to messages, managing our social media, completing grant applications, organising events and planning, and much more!
A bit about me: I’m a single mum to three boys. We moved from Trafford in 2015 and now live near Lytham. I have a BA (Hons) in Children, Schools and Families, a PGCE, and I’m Level 3 Forest School-trained. We spend lots of time with our English Bulldog, Frankie, enjoying local parks, the beach, and time with friends. I also breed Maine Coons, which keeps me busy.
A bit about Lesley: Lesley has three adult children and has always lived in Sale. She loves Motown music, a good cup of tea, spending time with friends (don’t tell her I wrote that) and, of course, being at 4 Cheeky Monkeys. She truly loves it at 4 Cheeky Monkeys and has built wonderful friendships along the way.
4 Cheeky Monkeys is for parents/carers with children from birth up to preschool age (before starting reception class).
